Joyce Reay

Joyce Evangeline Reay (nee Saigeon), of Hanover and formerly of Durham, passed away at the McVean Lodge on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Irvin Reay. Loving mother of Bryan Reay and his wife Kim, Carolyn Coutts and her late husband Elgin, Rick Reay, Janice Reay and her partner Barry Gateman, Angela Fry and her husband Les, and Kevin Reay and his wife Michelle. Fondly remembered by her 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Wayne and Pat Saigeon. Sister-in-law of Eleanor MacLean, and June and Lloyd Howatt. Predeceased by her infant son Randy, her sister Rheta Charlton, her parents George and Myrtle Saigeon, her in-laws Orville Reay, Norma Davis, and Edna Bell. 

A funeral service celebrating Joyce’s life will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Saturday, October 28th at 11 a.m., with visitation being held prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. A recording of the funeral service will be available for viewing on Sunday, October 29th by visiting the Funeral Home website. Interment at Durham Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Chesley Baptist Church, the MS Society, or Durham Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.
