Marlene Hopkins

Marlene Mary Hopkins (nee Pinke), of Durham, passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Thursday, May 26^th, 2022 in her 84^th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert Hopkins. Loving mother of Dean Hopkins and his wife Elaine, Denise and her husband Jim Hutchinson, Brent Hopkins and his wife Cindy, Paula and her husband Tim Mackey, and Joanne and her husband John Johnson. Cherished grandmother of Brock (Sarah), Breanne (Ciarán), Justin (Michelle), Courtney (Adam), Brittany (Troy), Curtis (Katlin), Emily (Braden), Benjamin (Jessica), Kelsey (Albi), Wade (Chantelle), Taylor, Cole (Alex), Lucas, Myles (Drew), Denver, and Clayton (Madison) and great-grandmother of 24.  Dear sister of Joyce Henry.  Sister-in-law of Isabel Edge, Noreen and Mel Barfoot, and Deanna Hopkins.  Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her siblings Earl Pinke, Shirley Clarke and Geraldine Schneider and by her husband’s siblings Carmen Hopkins, Mae MacLean, Donelda Hastie, J.D. Hopkins, and Oren Hopkins. 

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home on Sunday, May 29^th from 2 – 6 p.m.  A funeral service celebrating Marlene’s life will be held at the Durham Presbyterian Church, 205 Lambton Street East, Durham on Monday at 11 a.m., with visitation prior to the service from 10 – 10:45 a.m.  Masks are recommended and we encourage you to confirm your attendance by visiting the death notice on the Funeral Home website or by calling the Funeral Home at 519-369-3837.   A recording of the service will be available for viewing on the Funeral Home website (www.mccullochwatsonfuneralhome.ca) on Tuesday, May 31^st at 10 a.m. and will remain posted for viewing afterwards.
