David Aljoe

Passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Wednesday, December 16th, 2009. David Donnelly Aljoe, of Durham, in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Lawrence (Dec. 17, 1979) and the late Marjorie Hardman (Oct. 14, 2006). Loving father of Robert and his wife Patricia of Durham and Daryl and his wife Roberta of Kemble. Stepfather of Rod Brennan and Geraldine Smith, both of British Columbia and James Brennan of Mississauga. Fondly remembered by his 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers George and Allister and his infant brother Robert. David was the past Grand Lodge Officer of British America the Black Chapter for the Loyal Orange Lodge and was an active member of the Loyal Orange Lodge #1192.

A Celebration of David's Life will be held at Knox United Church on Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock, where members of the Loyal Orange Lodge #1192 will hold a memorial service at 12:30 p.m. Spring interment of cremated remains will be held at the Durham Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Arthritis Society, the Trillium House in Orillia or the Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
