Charles "Charlie" Schwass

Charles “Charlie” Andrew Schwass, of Durham, passed away at Chapman House, Owen Sound on Friday, March 15th, 2024 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Jean Schwass (nee Spurgeon). Charlie will be missed and remembered by his great-niece Shelby Linger. Brother of Ruth Huenemoerder, Marie Bolton, Edward Schwass and his wife Phyllis, Ken Schwass and his wife Linda, Cathy Schwass, and Ivan Schwass and his wife Deborah. Brother-in-law of Charles Spurgeon and his wife Bev. Predeceased by his brother Lewis Schwass and his late wife Liz, infant brothers John and Lyle Schwass, brother-in-law Gerald Huenemoerder, and Ivan Bolton.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held at First St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 425 10th Avenue, Hanover on Friday, March 22nd at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Grey Bruce Hospice Inc. or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family and can be made by contacting the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
