Galen Johnson

Galen Oscar Johnson, of Durham, passed away at Hanover Care Centre, Hanover on Tuesday, May 21st, 2024 in his 97th year. Beloved husband of the late Irene (nee Bannister). Loving father of Gary Johnson and his wife Cheryl, and Carolyn and her husband Wayne Forbes. Cherished grandfather of Vanessa and her husband Brandon, Mat and his wife Lauren, Michael and his wife Kelly, Ian and his wife Kari, and Kyle and his fiancé Julie. Great-grandfather of 7. Predeceased by his siblings John, Gladys, Pat, Helen, Nelson, and Doris.

Cremation has taken place. A private interment of cremated remains will be held at Trinity Anglican Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Durham Horticultural Society would be appreciated by the family.
