Death Notice of Art Cousins

Arthur William Dixon Cousins, of Durham, passed away with his family by his side at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Chesley on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025 in his 75th year.

Art was born on November 24th, 1950 to the late Joyce and Eric Cousins. Art is lovingly remembered by his wife Anne Cousins (nee Duncan), his daughter Patricia Cousins, his in-laws Linda and Donny MacKenzie, and Sharon and Bill Postlethwaite, his grandchildren Jasmine Cousins, and Jacob Vella and his partner Nikita Sheppard-Beatty, and his brothers Ron Cousins and Bruce Cousins. He is also remembered by his friend Gloria Watson, who was by the family’s side at all times. Predeceased by his brother-in-law John Duncan.

Art’s family is grateful for the dedicated staff at the Chesley Hospital and the Palliative Care team who provided excellent care for Art as his health declined. You may remember Art at the Durham Thundercat games or the Owen Sound fishing derby, which he attended faithfully.

To honour his wishes, he has been cremated and no visitation will be held.

In lieu of flowers, if you wish to donate to the Canadian Cancer Society or directly to his wife Anne to alleviate some of the expenses the family would much appreciate it.

Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
