David Picken

Passed away on Saturday, December 13th, 2008. David Orville Picken, of RR#2 Desboro and formerly of Durham, in his 49th year. Husband, best friend and soul mate of Nanci Lobsinger. Fondly remembered by his sons Scott Koeslag and his wife Amberly and Chris Koeslag and his wife Kim. Beloved poppa of Sage, Connor, Peyton, Javier and Hennessy. Dear son of Hazel Hanke and her friend Frank and the late Orville Picken. Dear brother of Joyce and her husband Ian MacKenzie, Kurt Hanke and his friend Dee, and Krystal and her husband Christopher Coss. Special uncle of Bailey and Daniel McKenzie. David will be missed by the family dog, Riley. Predeceased by his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. James Picken and by his maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Aylmer Reay.

A Celebration of David's Life will be held at Trinity Anglican Church on Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. Spring interment at Durham Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Saugeen Valley Conservation Area Foundation or Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association or the family would ask that you plant a tree in memory of David on your property
