Harry Dowsling

The passing of a great man. Henry Charles Dowsling, of Durham, passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Guelph General Hospital on Monday, May 3rd, 2010 in his 82nd year. Survived and sadly missed by, his loving wife of 61 years Annie Dowsling (nee Alexander) of Durham, and his seven children: Tom and Cathy Dowsling, Rick and Deb Dowsling, Darlene and Vince Arcieri, Diane Dowsling, Charles Dowsling and the late Susan Feldberg-Dowsling, George and Wendy Dowsling, and Bonnie Dowsling. Cherished grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Anne Hatton and the late Bill Hatton, Richard and Deborah Dowsling and the late Barbara Howell-Dowsling, and Jan Dowsling and the late Jim Pettiford. Fondly remembered by the Dowsling and Alexander families. Predeceased by his mother Rebecca (Styles-Dowsling), his step-father George Pilkey and his father Gordon Dowsling.

A celebration of Henry's life will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Cremation to follow.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Grey-Bruce Animal Shelter or the Saugeen Valley Conservation Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
