Joan Baines

Joan Elaine Baines (nee Clydesdale), of Durham, passed away at Chapman House, Owen Sound on Saturday, December 13th, 2025, in her 74th year. Beloved wife of the late Cecil Baines. Loving mother of Shaun Baines and his partner Jenn Dean, and Scott Baines and his partner Abbey Black. Proud grandmother of Charlotte and Joan welcomed Wyatt, Dalynne, and Colton to the family. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Eleanor Clydesdale and her parents-in-law Victor and Irene Baines.

A memorial service celebrating Joan’s life, with an opportunity for you to share a memory, will be held at the Durham Community Centre, 451 Saddler Street West, Durham on Sunday, December 21st at 1 p.m., followed by a come and go celebration of life from 2 – 4 p.m. A private spring interment of cremated remains at McNeil Cemetery, Priceville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Chapman House (cheques payable to Grey Bruce Hospice Inc.) would be appreciated by the family.
