Dennis Russell

Dennis Wilfred Russell, of Durham, formerly of Markdale and Windsor, passed away peacefully with his son Richard, daughter Diana and granddaughter Rebecca by his side, along with other loving family members at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Chesley on Friday, January 2nd, 2026 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of late Clara (nee Sklar) and the late Susanna MacKenzie (nee Hartley).  Loving father of Richard Russell and his wife Helen, Diana and her husband Steve Kuranyi, and step-father of Beverley MacKenzie, and Gayle MacKenzie, and also his best friend Herb Hendricks.  Fondly remembered by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Dear brother of Yvonne Huys and her late husband Tony, and Donald Russell and his late wife Jean. Predeceased by his brother Glenn Russell and his late wife Neit.  

Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held at Annesley United Church, Markdale on Saturday, May 2nd at 11 a.m., with interment to follow at Markdale Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Durham Food Bank or Safe N Sound Grey Bruce would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
