Steve Morris

Stephen Morris, of Durham, passed away at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton on Thursday, January 8th, 2026 in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of the late Cathy (nee Torry). Loving father of Gillian and her partner Dereck Wheeler. Cherished grandfather of Bailey and her partner Hayden Buchanan. Dear brother of Audrey and her husband Merv McInnis, Andrew Morris, and Alison Holliday and her partner Kelvin Adams. Dear brother-in-law of Karen and Larry Matheson, and Willy and Michele Torry. Steve will be missed and remembered by his nieces and nephews, and his good friend George and Deane Anderson. Steve worked at Durham Furniture for 45 years and was general manager of the Hanover Barons association for many years.

Cremation will take place. Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 6 – 8 p.m. Spring interment of cremated remains at the Durham Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to MS Canada, Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
