Death Notice of Charlie Lough

Charles William Lough, of Durham, died suddenly at his home on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at age 83. Married to the love of his life Marlene (nee Wainwright) for 63 years. Loving father of Scott Lough and his wife Shawna, and Owen and his wife Alisia. Proud grandfather of Vivian Lough, and Nathan Lough. Dear brother of Richard Lough and his wife Patricia. Brother-in-law of Ann and Gary Phillips, and Dale Wainwright and Phil Dandurand. Predeceased by his brother Bob Lough.

Charlie happily drove school bus in Toronto for 32 years and was a part time clown at the school bus parties for 8 years. He coached soccer for 3 years in Mississauga for 8 – 9 year olds. He loved going to his trailer in Sauble Beach for 38 years. After retirement he moved to Durham and he proudly told everyone the he loved living in Durham for the past 29 years.

A private service will be held. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Durham Presbyterian Church (general fund) or the Durham Food Bank would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
