Celebrating the Life of Richard Irwin Williams

March 10th, 1932 – January 31st, 2026

Our beloved Father, Grandfather (Gramp) and Great Grandfather left us peacefully on January 31st, 2026 surrounded by love. He lived a full life filled with stories, laughter, wisdom, integrity and endless generosity toward his family and all he came in contact with.

Dad loved and served his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ faithfully even through some very trying seasons in his life. He was always faithful to his God!

Beloved husband of the late Marlene Williams (nee Dickson).  Loving father of Mark Williams and wife Nena.  Cherished grandfather of Lindsay Williams, Adam Williams, Tara Veeneman and Jonathan, and Jason Douglas and Narelle.  Great-grandfather of Huxley, Molly, William, Scarlet, Cooper, Leo and Amelia. Remembered by his daughter-in-law Linda.  Predeceased by his daughter Lynda Douglas, his son Paul Williams and his 4 siblings.

We warmly invite family and friends to join us as we honour his memory.

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 12 – 1:30 p.m.

Please join us after the visitation for food refreshments and shared memories of Richard at Williams Residence; 234707 Concession 2 WGR, Durham, Ontario, N0G 1R0. (15 minutes north of Durham on Concession 2 WGR) on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 at 2 p.m.

Your presence would mean the world to us. Gramp always said family and good company were the greatest gifts—let’s share both in his honour.

Private interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Kitchener.

Thank you to Heatherwood Retirement home staff who loved and cared for Richard (Papa as he was affectionately known).
