Our beloved husband, father, grandfather “Poppy”, and great-grandfather passed peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2026 in his 84th year, surrounded by family and friends.

Beloved husband of Louise (nee Baker) Roberts of 62 years. Loving father of Pauline (Paul) Callahan, John (Naomi) Roberts, and Tim (Sharon) Roberts. Beloved brother of Gordon (Maureen) Roberts, Scott (Carol Ann) Roberts, Zetta (Dale) Lane, Nina Mulligan, and Shawn (Jennie) Roberts. Beloved brother-in-law of Henry (Florence) Baker, Bill (Lorraine) Baker, Eileen (Ed) Stuckless, Dave (Evelyn) Baker, Ed (Judy) Baker, Ron (Brenda) Baker, and Gerald (Valerie) Baker. Cherished grandfather of Amanda (Luke) Snow, Naomi Callahan (Ryan), Kayla (Peter) Eckhardt, Jonathan Roberts (Bonnie), Noah Callahan (Michaela), Annika Roberts, and Clara Mae Roberts. Loving great-grandfather of Evelyn, Elijah, Ollie, Henry, and Abigail.
Predeceased by parents Harry and Beatrice Roberts, sister Catherine Esty, brother Reginald Roberts, parents-in-law Edmund and Amelia Baker, sisters-in-law Bernice Hannon, Francis Baker and Marlene Baker, and brothers-in-law Sandy Mulligan and Ron Hannon.

Harold lived a full life filled with stories, laughter, wisdom, and faith. Harold loved and served his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ throughout his life. Born and raised in Newfoundland and later in Ontario and Point-of-Bay, Newfoundland, Harold was an incredibly hard worker, logging in the forests and building and renovating homes. Harold loved fishing, hunting, picking blueberries, and his double-double Tim Hortons coffee with a carrot muffin.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Scott, Jaelyn, Nicole, Vanna, Jenna, Amy, and all the nurses and staff at South Bruce Grey Health Centre (Palliative Care) Kincardine Hospital who went above and beyond taking special care of our precious Dad.

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Saturday, February 28th from 2 – 5 p.m.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation or the family kindly asks you to plant a tree in his memory.
