Jean Koeslag

Jean Stewart Koeslag (née MacArthur) passed away at Rockwood Terrace, Durham on Sunday, April 12th, 2026 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Hendrik "Henk" Koeslag. Dear mother of Catherine and her husband Klaus Buick, Douglas Koeslag, Bertha Benninger, and Bonnie and her husband Ben Cameron. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Ryan Buick, Laurie Karp, Scott Koeslag, Chris Koeslag, Sister Cara Marie (Benninger), Kaitlyn Grein, Aaron Benninger, Heather Cameron, Thomas Cameron, Christine Clark and 21 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter Dorothy Koeslag, her son-in-law Francis Benninger, her grandson Ian Cameron, and her brother Donald MacArthur.

Cremation will take place. A private family gathering will be held. Private interment at Durham Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Sisters of Life – Canada or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
