Madeline Shay

Madeline Rosalyn Shay (nee Whitmore), formerly of Durham, passed away at Matthew’s House Hospice, Alliston on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Shay. Loving mother of Edward Shay and his wife Tracy, and James Shay and his wife Nicole. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer and her husband Kyle Hurst, Kyle Shay, Caelan Kemp and Ava Shay. Great-grandmother of Alexis. Dear sister of Audrey and the late Victor Thompson. 

A private family service will be held. Spring interment at Trinity Anglican Cemetery. 

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Matthew’s House Hospice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home.
