Death Notice of Brian Clair

Brian William Clair, of Durham and formerly of Guelph, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 27th, 2026 in his 58th year. Beloved husband of Vita Stiebert. Loving father of Liam, Justine, and Corbin Clair. Dear brother of Danny Clair, and Sheila and husband Derek Roy; brother-in-law of Seton Stiebert and wife Shannon and dear uncle of Gabriel, Alisson, Isaiah, Torquil and Mikaela. Son-in-law of Horst Stiebert and the late Gudrun. He is predeceased by his parents Anne and Bill Clair.
Brian was a gifted storyteller with a story to match every occasion and was known for making friends everywhere he went. As an electrician, he worked many different jobs, but he loved working on movie sets, where he helped bring shows to life. He loved the outdoors, whether it was gardening at home, hunting on the back 40, or golfing with his friends and children. He had a passion for many hobbies including comics, the guitar, preparing food with his smoker, or just sitting by the fire. Brian was an exceptionally hard working family man who was so proud, and supportive of his kids. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at his home, 282912 Normanby-Bentinck Townline, West Grey, on Saturday, May 30th starting at 1 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
