Shirley Burns

Shirley Frances Burns (nee Davis), of Durham, passed away at Brightshores Health System, Owen Sound on Monday, June 15th, 2026 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Ross Ferrier. Loving mother of Dwayne Burns, Rob Burns and his partner Bev, Shannon Loveless and his partner Bev, Terry Ferrier and his wife Beth, Chad Ferrier and his wife Donna, and Susan Ferrier and her partner Dave. Cherished by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Mary Lou Noonan and her partner Ron. Shirley will be missed by Ross Ferrier’s extended family. Predeceased by her 7 siblings: Eileen, Hump, Jim, Teresa, Betty, Colleen, and Viola.

Cremation will take place. A come and go celebration of life will be held at the Durham Legion, 271 Bruce Street North, Durham on Saturday, June 27th from 2 – 5 p.m. Private interment at Durham Cemetery Columbarium. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Durham Legion would be appreciated by the family.
