Evelyn Ferguson

Ada Evelyn Ferguson (nee Talbot), of Durham, passed away at the Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest on Saturday, August 15th, 2026 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Ferguson for 65 years. Loving mother of Linda and her husband Lyall Eccles, Jo-Ann and her husband Kevin Eccles, Dwight Ferguson and his wife Deb, and Gwen and her husband Barry Richardson. Cherished grandmother of Josh and Brooke Eccles, Mya and Chris Weber, Brock and Becca Eccles, Brittny and Mitch Twolan, Devon Richardson, and Jake Richardson. Great-grandmother of Gavyn, Ryan, Brinley, Jane, Ruby, Henry, Kyler, and Emma and her partner Alex; and great-great-grandmother of Ella Mae. Dear sister of Lillian Gowan, and David Talbot and his wife Deb. Predeceased by her brothers Alex Talbot and his late wife Joy, and Peter Talbot. 

Cremation has taken place. A come and go celebration of Evelyn's life will be held at the Durham Legion, 271 Bruce Street North, Durham on Sunday, August 30th from 1 - 4 p.m., with memories being shared at 2 p.m. Private interment of cremated remains at the Durham Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Durham Cemetery, Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation, Royal Canadian Legion Br. 308 or Abbeyfield Houses Society of Durham would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
