Norma Sim

Norma Elizabeth Sim (nee Leno), of Durham, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Chesley on Sunday, August 23rd, 2026 in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of the late Gord Sim. Loving mother of Angela Sim, and Andrew Sim and his partner Jacqueline Duff. Cherished grandmother of Joshua and Alana Sim, and Norma will be missed by their mother Angela Summers. Dear sister of Ed Leno and his wife Liz, and sister-in-law of June Leno, Betty Sulkye, and Doris Palmer. Dear aunt of Rob Leno and wife Karen, and Crystal Leroux. Predeceased by her parents Norman and Minnie Leno, her brother Wilfred Leno, and her nephew Corey Leno.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Thursday, August 27th from 5 – 7 p.m. A memorial service celebrating Norma’s life will be held at the Durham Legion, 271 Bruce Street North, Durham on Friday at 1 p.m., with visitation prior to the service from 12 – 12:45 p.m. Private interment at Durham Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations to Durham Cemetery, Chesley Hospital Foundation or Durham Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
