Marlene Campbell

Marlene Mitchell Campbell (nee Buchan) passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2026, reaching her 88th birthday just days prior on September 17. Predeceased by her husband, Gord Campbell (2016). Loved and remembered by her daughter, Elaine and her husband Michael Bradbury, and by her son, Bruce Campbell. Cherished grandma of Ceilidh Bradbury (Ed) and Shannon Campbell (Haden), and great grandma of Maeve and Nelly Campbell. Predeceased by her daughter Catherine Campbell, and also by her brothers Bob and Donald Buchan, and sister Cathy Buchan. Originally from Aberdeen, Scotland, Marlene moved to Canada as a young adult. Living for many years in Oakville, Ontario before moving to Priceville, and most recently to Serenity Retirement Home in Durham. She was very proud of her Scottish heritage and spoke fondly of the place she grew up, visiting her family in Aberdeen when she could. Marlene was a talented seamstress who could create beautiful and treasured pieces with her sewing machine or simply a needle and thread.

Cremation has taken place. A private celebration of Marlene’s life will be held with close family and friends. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Breast Cancer Canada would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
