Passed away at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Tuesday, July 13th, 2010. The former Hilaria Mary Ann Benninger, of St. Marys and formerly of Durham, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of Pat Smith.
Loving mother of Edith and her husband Gino DiPede of Scarborough, Linda and her husband Dennis Whaling of Exeter, and Joan Smith of St. Marys. Cherished grandmother of Jamie, Laura and Nick DiPede, Chris, Michael, Paul and David Whaling, and Nora Smith. Dear sister of Francis Benninger. Sister-in-law of Mary Smith and the late Ann Rivard and her husband Reg. Predeceased by her infant son James and by her siblings: Sylvester Benninger, Cornelius Benninger, Anna Hallman and Josephine Eby.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Durham on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
