Verdun - Veteran of WWII Watson

Passed away at Rockwood Terrace, Durham on Monday, August 23rd, 2010. Stanley Verdun Watson, of Durham, in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the former Barbara Miller. Loving father of Pastor Eric Watson and his wife Judy of Kincardine, Iris and her husband Rick Wells of Varney, and Karen and her husband Peter Ruigrok of Hanover. Cherished grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Harold Watson and his wife Kay, Ruth Holbrook, and Ruby and her husband Wes Porter. Predeceased by his daughter Paulette McWilliams, his son-in-law James McWilliams and his siblings Annie Watson, Howard Watson and Clarence Watson.

A celebration of Verdun's life will be held at the Durham Baptist Church, 106 Elgin Street, Durham on Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery.
