Robert Sr. Thompson

Passed away on Thursday, September 30th, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener in his 81st year. Beloved husband and best friend for 56 years of Barbara Thompson (nee Illingworth). Father of Rob and his wife Marilyn of Durham, Janine and her husband Paul Nelson of Durham and Charlene and her husband Jeffrey Mountain of Dornoch. Cherished grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brother-in-law Fred Illingworth of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his parents Wilfrid and Lillian (nee Montgomery) Thompson.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment at Durham Cemetery.
