Grant - Veteran of WWII Greenwood

Passed away at Rockwood Terrace, Durham on Wednesday, January 26th, 2011. Grant Carmount Greenwood, of Durham, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Gladys Ashbury. Loving father of Grant Greenwood and his wife Anne of Scarborough, Dennis Greenwood of London, England, and Lynda and her husband Don Plakholm of RR#3 Hanover. Cherished grandfather of Shannon, Paul and his wife Audrey, Scott and his wife Sarah, Michelle, Ben and his wife Tracy, Bill and his wife Amanda, and Aaron and his wife Janine. Fondly remembered by his 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Brother-in-law of Pat Greenwood, Esther Ashbury, and Morry and Marie Ashbury. Predeceased by his infant son, his brothers, Gordon Greenwood and Murray Greenwood, and his sister, Susie Kerr.

Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #308 will hold a memorial service at the Funeral Home on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. Friends may call at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Sunday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., where a celebration of Grant's life will be held at the 2 o'clock. Spring interment at Durham Cemetery.
