Don Oakley

Passed away at the Hanover and District Hospital on Tuesday, December 6th, 2011. Donald George Murlin Oakley, of Hanover and formerly of Durham and Orangeville, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Diana. Cherished father of Craig Oakley and his wife Janelle of Calgary, Alberta, Chris Oakley and his wife Rae-Anne of Orangeville, Clark Oakley and his wife Jill of Orangeville, and Donna Dahmer and her friend Jeff of Manitoulin Island. Fondly remembered by his 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Survived by his siblings: Howard, Lloyd, Clifford, Johnny, Muriel, Stella and Kim. Predeceased by his infant daughter Kim, his parents Murlin and Agnes Oakley, his brother Billy and his sister Nancy.

A celebration of Don's life will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Cremation to follow.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
