Death Notice of Aveon Reay

Passed away peacefully at Rockwood Terrace, Durham on Thursday, May 31st, 2012. The former Aveon (nee Wilder) Atkinson, of Durham, in her 93rd year. She will be missed by her husband of 44 years Albert Reay, her daughters, Shirley Atkinson, Ellen Russwurm (Ken), sons, Bruce Atkinson (Alice), John Atkinson (Tracy), George Atkinson (Carol), David Atkinson, Jim Atkinson (Marg), 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Aveon will be sadly missed by her sister, Eileen Mighton (Irvan), her brother Art Wilder (Marj) and the Atkinson, Reay and Roseborough families. Predeceased by her first husband Jack Atkinson, her daughters-in-law Heather Atkinson and Marion Atkinson, her great-granddaughter Aunna Lee Atkinson, her sister Olive Miller, and her brothers Jim Wilder and Fred Wilder.

A celebration of Aveon's life will be held at Knox United Church, Durham on Monday, June 4th at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment at Durham Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Knox United Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
