Death Notice of Jason Godwin Cullingford

Passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, September 20th, 2013. "Jay" was born in England on July 20, 1922. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Royal Armoured Corps for 5 years in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Jason emigrated to Canada in 1953, and spent many years as a verbatim court reporter, working throughout Ontario and the Northwest Territories. He is predeceased by Gaynor, his loving wife of 63 years, and brothers Arthur and Ralph. Sadly missed by his son Brian and daughter-in-law Deirdre, his brother Bernard (Rena) in England, sister-in-law Isobel Getz, nieces and nephews. Brian and Deirdre wish to express their gratitude to his many caregivers and especially to Liezl, whose loving care brought him much comfort over the past year.

At Jay's request, "no fuss or ceremony required or desired"; there will be no formal funeral arrangements.

As an expression of sympathy memorial donations to the Durham and Community Health Care Foundation (Durham Hospital) would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham
