Bruce Thorne

Passed away on Friday, February 28th, 2014. Bruce Wayne Thorne, of Durham, in his 68th year. Survived by his loving wife Cathleen (nee Angel). Loving father of Teresa Thorne of Owen Sound, and Penny and her husband Scott Israels of Goderich. Cherished grandfather of Kali and Logan Israels. Survived by his siblings Roger and Bonnie Thorne of Tara, Elaine Thorne of Waterloo, Willard and Sharon Thorne of St. Catharines, Lawrence and Brenda Thorne of Tara, Janet and Gary Spergel of Sudbury, and Anne and John Ten Hoppen of Paisley and his sisters-in-law Sandra (George) Thorne of Lindsay, and Helen (Bryan) Thorne of Newmarket. Dear son-in-law of Annie Angel. Brother-in-law of Roberta and Bill Vokes of Kilsyth, Lorna and Roy Waite of Kemble, George and Alanna Angel of Owen Sound, and Bev and Roxy Angel of Port Elgin. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Raymond and Caroline Thorne, his father-in-law Keith Angel, and his siblings Bryan Thorne, George Thorne, Doug Thorne, Helen Hill and brother-in-law Leeland Hill.

A celebration of Bruce's life will be held at the Durham Legion on Wednesday, March 5th at afternoon at 1 o'clock. Cremation to follow.
