Death Notice of Marilyn Rivest

Passed away after a courageous 8 year battle with cancer on Friday, September 12th, 2014. Marilyn Lena Rivest (nee Kobelsky), of RR#2 Durham, in her 69th year. Beloved wife of Art Rivest. Loving mother of Tammy and her husband Brent Willis of Williamsford, Natalie and her husband Rob Kirvan of Naperville, Illinois, Tina and her husband Patrick Rainville of Timmins, and Travis Rivest and his wife Jocelin of Durham. Cherished grandmother of Amelia, Chloe, Myles and Clayton Willis, Abby, Megan and Emma Kirvan, Rachel Rainville, and Travis and Hunter Rivest. Dear sister of Clifford and Bernice Kobelsky of Tilbury, Wilbert and Eva Kobelsky of Windsor and Wilfred and Maryann Kobelsky of Kingsville. Sister-in-law of Marilynn and Dennis Guilbeault of Essex, Edward and Orysia Rivest of Belle River, Mary Jean and Allan Ferris of Belle River, Ted and Wanda Rivest of Southampton, Brian and Donna Rivest of Essex. Predeceased by her parents John and Annie Kobelsky and her infant sister Bernadette. Marilyn had a devoted and selfless love for her family, and throughout her illness she kept strong, with a smile on her face and showed strength and courage.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Hanover on Wednesday morning, September 17th, at 11 o'clock with visitation at the church from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. Interment at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Durham.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Right to Life or 4-H Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
