Death Notice of Pat Garvey
Passed away at his home on Friday, November 21st, 2014. Patrick Silvester Garvey, of Neustadt and formerly of Durham, in his 81st year. Survived by his wife of 56 years Sheila (nee Becker). Loving father of Norman Garvey, Kim Garvey (Keith White), Ian Garvey and Karen (Elderd Bennett). Fondly remembered by his 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his siblings Reta Fortney, Bernadette Burns, John (Catherine) Garvey and Mary (Joe) Stroeder. Predeceased by his parents Ambrose and Marie Garvey, sisters Leona Grubb and Helen Hinsperger and his brothers Bernard, Francis, Jerome and Raymond Garvey.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Durham on Monday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Durham and District Food Bank or London Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
