Iris Kennedy

Passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 28th, 2016. Iris Marie Kennedy (nee Sanderson), of Hanover and formerly of Durham, in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of Bill Kennedy. Dear mother of Kris Kennedy and his wife Cathryn of Durham. Mother-in-law of Frank McDevitt. Cherished grandmother of Alex Kennedy, Anita (Andy) Hopkins, Drew (Emily) Kennedy, Griff (Belinda) McDevitt and Chris McDevitt. Great-grandmother of 10. Survived by her sister Joyce Sanderson. Predeceased by her daughter Debbie McDevitt and 7 siblings.

A celebration of Iris's life will be held at the Durham Legion on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Cremation to follow.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Durham Girls Alumni Band, Hanover and District Hospital Foundation or Durham and Community Health Care Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
