Helen Whitmore

Helen Caroline Wilhelmine Whitmore passed away at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Wednesday, December 7th, 2016 in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Lewis Whitmore. Dear mother of Lewis Craig Whitmore and his wife Michele of Durham and Cheri Lew Whitmore-Caldwell and her husband Bill of RR# 1, Hanover. Loving grandmother of Tyler Whitmore, Travis Whitmore and his wife Jordan, Christina Whitmore, Shawn Reid, Miles Reid and his wife Shannon and James Reid. Great-grandmother of Graham, Kaylynn and Logan. Also survived by her brother Ivan and Adele Schmidt of Hanover and her nieces and nephews, Eleanor, Cyndi, Mary Ellen, Margaret, Janette, Alex and Chris. Predeceased by her parents William and Sophia (Engel) Schmidt, brother-in-law Bill and his wife Emily Patterson and her nephew Lewis Patterson.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Helen's life will be held at Knox United Church, Durham on Saturday, December 10th at 11 a.m.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Durham and Community Health Care Foundation, Residential Hospice of Grey-Bruce or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
