Stan Doherty

Stanley Percy Doherty, of Durham, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 5th, 2017 in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Darlene (nee Hunter) for 50 years. Proud father of Connie and her husband Sean MacEwan, Jennifer and her husband Brad Hayes and Bradley Doherty and his wife Michelle. Cherished grandfather of Melissa, Taylor and her husband Curtis, Abigail, Katie and her husband Zach, Kyle, Ryan, Brandon, Brittney, Avery, Noah, Josh and Levi and great-grandfather of Molly. Dear brother of Isabell and her husband Wayne Dowling, Fred Doherty and his wife Brenda, Ed Doherty, Lynda and her husband Larry Fischer, David Doherty, Donna Doherty and Steven Doherty. Brother-in-law of Ted and Brenda Hunter, Maxine and Dean Bender, Margaret and Alan Krueger and Betty Szilassy. Fondly remembered by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Percy and Irene (Hines) Doherty and his brother Frank Doherty.

A celebration of Stan's life will be held at the Durham Legion, 271 Bruce Street North, Durham on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment at Durham Cemetery.
