Norma Stere

Norma Mary Stere (nee Lazenby), of Durham, passed away at Rockwood Terrace, Durham on Monday, August 21st, 2017 in her 75th year. Beloved wife of the late Raymond Stere. Loving mother of Richard Stere and his wife Kim, Wayne Stere and his wife Angela, Mary-Jo and her husband Daniel Sowiluk, Sherry and her husband Scott Reid, Thomas Stere, Carie Stere and her spouse Jennifer Chamberlain and Tracy Stere and her husband Shane Elley. Cherished grandmother of Richard, Jessica, Robert, Marion, Katelyn, Amanda, Holly Ann, Melanie, Madison and Hayley and great-grandmother of Wiatt, Lilly and Jadeah. Dear sister of Murray and Gwen Lazenby and sister-in-law of Irene Lazenby, Clayton Stere and Art Stere. Predeceased by her parents Elton and Gertrude Lazenby and her brother Gerald Lazenby and her sister Barbara Killing.

Cremation has taken place. A service celebrating Norma's life will be held at the Durham Legion, 271 Bruce Street North, Durham on Monday, August 28th at 1 p.m., followed by a time to visit with the family until 3:30 p.m.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Diamond Project, the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
