Death Notice of Phyllis Gilkes
Phyllis Irene Gilkes (nee Hooper), of Durham, passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Thursday, November 30th, 2017 in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Ron Gilkes. Loving mother of Brent Gilkes and his wife Ellen of Durham. Cherished grandmother of Karley and her husband Jeff Rapson and Jackie Gilkes. Great-grandmother of Phoenix and Alexander. Dear sister of Marie Martin and the late Jean Kelly.
A celebration of Phyllis's life will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Durham and Community Health Care Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
