Jim Patton

Veteran of the Korean War, James Leroy Patton, of Durham, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Saturday, October 19th, 2019 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn (nee Stewart). Loving father of Geraldine and her husband Rick McInnis, and Brenda and her husband Clifford McKelvey. Cherished grandfather of Colin McInnis and partner Steph, Kelly McInnis, Ashley Grubb, Bradley Grubb and partner Nicole, and Ian Grubb. Great-grandfather of Alice Karen Grubb. Dear brother of Jean Harrison and her late husband John, Edna Patton, Keith Patton and his late wife Jackie. Brother-in-law of Betty Stewart, Gavin Richardson and Peter Marx. Also remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter Karen Grubb, and his brother George Patton and his late wife Mary.

A funeral service celebrating Jim's life will be held at the Durham Legion on Tuesday at 11 a.m., with visitation being held prior to the service from 10 - 10:45 a.m. Interment at Durham Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Durham Hospital Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
