Tom Bovingdon

Thomas Burnett Bovingdon, of Durham, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Sunday, October 20th, 2019 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Ida "Jean" Bovingdon (nee Morrison). Loving father of Don Lantz and his wife Cathy, Debbie and her husband Tracy Detzler, Dean Lantz, and Geoffrey Bovingdon. Cherished grandfather of Tyler and Heidi Lantz, Brady and Shannon Lantz, Jenna and John Linley, April Detzler and Anup, Cole Detzler, Evan Detzler and Lynn, Chloe Detzler and Rafael, Kelsey Lantz and Justin, Paige Bovingdon, and Jessica Bovingdon and David. Great-grandfather of 6. Dear brother of Georgina Mitchell. Brother-in-law of Inez Pratt, Raymond and Karen Morrison, Velma Morrison and Isobel Morrison. Predeceased by an infant son, his brothers George Bovingdon, Walter Bovingdon (the late Eileen), Clarence Bovingdon (the late Hazel), Dorothy Linguard (the late Ken), Melinda Long (the late Mid), and his in-laws Royden Morrison, Olive Aitken (the late Walter), Vera Aitken (the late Murray), Lloyd Morrison, Hazel Northey (the late Walter Northey), Newman Pratt, and Roy Morrison.

A funeral service celebrating Tom's life will be held at the Durham Legion on Friday at 11 a.m., with visitation being held prior to the service from 10 - 10:45 a.m. Interment at Durham Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Durham Hospital Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
