John David "Jack" Carson, of Priceville, after a hard fought battle passed away peacefully with family by his side at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Sunday, February 23rd, 2020 in his 76th year. Beloved husband for 50 years of Victoria "Vickie" (nee Hawthorn). Cherished father of Bill Carson (Lindsay), and Kandace Carson (Lowell Coulter). Super proud grandfather of Brydon (Jackson), Richard (Kate), Devon, Brooklynn, Jaden, Collin, and Brelyn. Dear brother of Nancy (Ted) Hopkins, and Cindy (Brent) Hopkins. Brother-in-law of Cheryle (Joe) Brown, Alana Hawthorn, Deborah (Bruce) Odell, and Catherine Hawthorn. Jack will be greatly missed by his much loved nieces and nephews, and by his many close friends. Predeceased by his parents Dick and Mabel Carson, his sisters Christena "Chris" Hooper, Ricki Hanley, his brother-in-law Scott Hawthorn and his son-in-law John Hill. Jack was raised on the family farm near Priceville and he loved living his life in the village of Priceville. He worked as an ironworker for 25 years before he founded the Priceville Windmill Company and was known to many as the "Windmill Man". Jack enjoyed sports and the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Many a tale was shared and a glass or two raised over the years with the spoons playing and the guitars strumming.
