Death Notice of Ann Knaap

Ann Louisa Knaap (nee Ooms), of Durham, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Monday, January 4th, 2021 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Klaas Knaap. Left to mourn her passing is her son, Walter Knaap; her two grandsons, Mark and his wife Katherine, and Matthew; and her two great-grandchildren, Nolan and Grace. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her infant grandson, Nathan; her brothers, Harry, Wynant and William; her sisters, Louise and Marie; and her friend Jake Vanarkel. Klaas, Annie and Walter came to Canada in 1965 and resided in Durham while working at Kroehler's (Durham Furniture). Annie loved to dance and attended many dances at the Durham Legion. Her favourite hobbies were knitting and watching television. Her favourite show was The Price is Right. Anny enjoyed time spent with family and celebrating birthdays with coffee, cake and card games. She and Jake enjoyed travelling to the West Coast of Canada and the Florida Keys after retirement. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A private funeral service will be held. Spring interment at Durham Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lung Association or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
