Death Notice of Ron Evans

Passed away on Wednesday, February 25th, 2009. Ronald Eddie Evans of Mount Forest, formerly of Owen Sound and St. Williams, in his 69th year.

Beloved husband and friend of the former Rose Anne Papke. Dear son of Madeline Evans and son-in-law of Margaret Papke. Cherished father of Veronica and her husband Bob Harris, Peter Evans and his wife Cheryl, Andy Odell and his wife Dierdre, Kevin Odell and his wife Irene and Tammy Odell. Dear brother of Gail Evans and her fiance Richard Epple. Fondly remembered by his grandsons Chuckie and Eric Harris, Owen and James Hayward, Aidan Odell, Marshall and Spencer Odell. Ron will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews,relatives and special friends. Predeceased by his first wife Susan, his son Chuck, his father Fred and his brother Fred.

Ron worked as a pipeline welder for Union Gas and was a member of the Walsingham Masonic Lodge #174 and Scoutmaster in #1 St. Williams troop. He enjoyed travelling in their rv and lawn bowling.

Friends may call at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, 166 Bruce Street North, Durham on Sunday, March 1st from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m., where a Celebration of Ron's Life will be held at 3:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Cultus Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Ontario March of Dimes, the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or Faconi Anemia would be appreciated by the family.
