At Rockwood Terrace, Durham Saturday June 14, 2014. Thys Groen of Durham, age 86 years. Son of the late Arend and Jantje. Husband of the late Femmigje (nee Logtenberg). Loved father of Arend "Harry" (Janet) of Durham, Gerrit (Tina) of Seguin and Jan (Kim) of Welesley. Sadly missed by grandchildren Ryan (Kristina), Jason (Karry), Michael (Ashley), Amanda (Martin) and Alaina and great grandchildren Thys and Maximilian. Dear brother of Klaasses (Henry) of Belleville, Tina (Arie) of the Netherlands, the late Anna and the late Jan. The family will receive friends at the Fawcett-McEachern Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Durham Tuesday from 9 - 11 AM.
