Of Serenity, Durham, surrounded by family & close friends, Joan peacefully went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 6, 2015. She was in her 93rd year. Loving mother of Lynn Bernard of Walkerton and Leah (Ken) McKinnon of Teeswater and the late Tom Whalen Bernard. Loved and remembered by grandchildren Bradley Bernard of Vancouver, BC and Alec & Liam McKinnon of Teesewater, niece Janice (Delaney) Titus of Ottawa and nephew David Moore of Burlington. Dear sister of John (Jean) Whalen of Burlington. Predeceased by brothers Gerry, Reg, 2 infant brothers, sister Therese Moore and brother-in-law Jim Moore. A time of celebration will take place at Maplewood Cemetery (south of Varney, ON) on Saturday, December 12 at 11:30am.
