Death Notice of Noreen Sweeney

Noreen Cecelia Sweeney (nee Kenny), of Durham, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 19th, 2022 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Bernard Sweeney. Loving mother of Leanne Sweeney and her husband Greg Glass, Bernadette and her husband Paul Moon, Joanne and her husband Terry Patterson, Brian and his wife Cathy, and Brent and his wife Tia. Cherished grandmother of Jason, Ashley, Andrew, Ridge, Dalton, Travis, Kalie, and Ryan. Great-grandmother of Adrianna, Aiden, Jacob, Nora, Lily, and Aria. Dear sister of Helen and her husband Bud McCormick. Sister-in-law of Isabell Sweeney and Shirley Sweeney. Predeceased by her granddaughter Carrie, her sister Marie Morrison and her two brothers. 

Cremation has taken place. 

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Friday, April 29th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m., where a vigil prayer service will be held at 6:45 p.m. 

A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Durham on Saturday, April 30th at 3 p.m. 

Masks are recommended at the visitation and at the service and we encourage you to confirm your attendance. Interment of cremated remains at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery.
