Judith Steeb

Judith Carol Steeb (nee Hertel) of Durham, Ontario passed away at London Health Sciences Centre – University Hospital on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at the age of 81. Loving Mother of Mark Steeb (wife Jackie), and Suzanne (late husband Glen Miller), and Cherished Grandmother of Cody Steeb (fiancee Danielle) and Taylor Steeb. Dear Sister of Brenda McGaghey, and also remembered by her sisters-in-law Jane Hertel, and Muriel Steeb and her brother-in-law Richard Steeb. Loving Aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Edith Hertel and her brothers John, Richard and Doug Hertel. 

Judith was an avid Curler starting in earlier years in Bay Ridges at the Annandale Curling Club, then joining the Hanover Curling Club and finally to Durham throwing rocks with all of her friends. She loved Gardening, loved people that gardened, everything gardening made her happy. Judith was an avid reader and was never found without at least 3 books on the go. She will be missed by all that loved her.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Durham Legion on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life where further memories of Judith can be shared until 1 p.m.
