Death Notice of Carman Craig

Carman Gerald Craig was born in Wiarton, Ontario on March 8, 1942 and passed peacefully in his sleep at home on December 24, 2022. Survived by his wife Ardele; his sons Christopher and his wife Nikki, and James and his wife Stacey; his beloved granddaughter Elizabeth; his brothers Ron and Charles and his sisters Brenda and her husband David Gibbons, and Darlene Shaw. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Florence Craig; his parents-in-law Roy and Elnor Smith; and his sister Helen Kirk.

Known for his years spent employed at Sarah Lee Canada and later Mundell Lumber in Erin, On. Carman enjoyed all things Leafs, Jays and Argos. Long time supporter of Jr C hockey and ardent fan and booster of the Orangeville Crushers. He loved watching curling and golf while feeding the woodstove or sitting outside with a beer watching the world go by.

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Friday, December 30th from 11 – 11:45 a.m., followed by a funeral service celebrating Carman’s life at 12 p.m. Spring interment at Bayview Cemetery, Wiarton. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or ALS Canada would be appreciated by the family.
