Joanne Van Vlymen

Joanne Mary Van Vlymen (nee Reitzel) passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023 in her 55th year. Beloved wife of Chris Van Vlymen. Loving mother of Crystal Van Vlymen and her partner Terry, Jesse Van Vlymen and his wife Billie Jean, and Josephine Van Vlymen and her husband Justin. Cherished grandmother of Savannah, Liam, Xander, Amara, and Zachary. Dear daughter of Walter and the late Mary Ann Reitzel. Sister of Earl Reitzel and his wife Karen, Mike Reitzel and his wife Catherine, Edward Reitzel, Paul Reitzel and his wife Ruth, and Dianne Gibson. Also remembered by her mother-in-law Willemina Lootens, and by her in-laws Dave and Sandy Van Vlymen, and Randy and Ingrid Van Vlymen.

Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of Joanne’s life will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Saturday, May 13^th at 1 p.m., with visitation prior to the service from 12 - 12:45 p.m.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
