Joyce Whiteside

Marjorie Joyce Kathleen Whiteside (nee Griffin), of Durham, passed away with her family by her side at Rockwood Terrace, Durham on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 in her 74th year. Beloved wife of Terry Whiteside Sr. Loving mother of Terry Whiteside Jr. and his partner Karen Webster, and Sherri and her husband Mike Page. Cherished grandmother of Nicholas Whiteside and his fiancée Kristen Becker. Dear sister of Joan and her husband Bill MacMillan, Harold Jr. “Butch” Griffin and his wife Marion, Lloyd Griffin, and Patsy and her husband Carl Kitchen. Joyce will be greatly missed by her extended family, nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Lorna Griffin, and by her sisters Marie and her late husband Dave Nixon, and Wilma and her late husband James Lindsay.

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Friday, April 7th from 2 – 6 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Joyce’s life will be held at the Durham Legion, 271 Bruce Street North, Durham on Saturday at 11 a.m. Spring interment at Durham Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey Bruce or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
