Marlene Schopf

Marlene Kate Elizabeth Schopf (nee Newman), of Durham, passed away on her 86th birthday at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Sunday, April 30th, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Mel Schope. Dear sister of Allen Newman (Norma), and Tom Newman (Lynn). Marlene will be missed by her brother-in-law Ross Peart, and by her many nieces and nephews and their families. Marlene will also be missed by her faithful four-legged companion, Penny. Predeceased by her siblings Jack Newman, Roy Newman, June Smith, and Brenda Peart. 

Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at the Durham Cemetery Columbarium. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Durham Cemetery, the Durham Legion or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
