Bill Doney

William Willard Doney, of Durham, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Audrey (nee McEachern). Loving father of Rick Doney and his wife Pat, and Steve Doney. Cherished grandfather of Tabitha Doney and her husband Dylan Porte, Ben Doney, Abby Doney, Brock Doney and his partner Ashley, and Brett Doney and his partner Sam. Great-grandfather of Nevaeh, Aiyonna, Willow, Makwa, Brooklynn, Lennox, Tyson and Taya. Dear brother of Gerry Doney and his wife Sue, and brother-in-law of Ruth Doney, Rosemary Doney, Luke Verhaegen, and Dorothy Corbett. Predeceased by his parents Willard and Reita Doney, his son Kevin Doney, his sisters Donna Harrison and her late husband Royden, and Dianne Verhaegen, his brothers Grant Doney and Ron Doney, and his brother-in-law Alf Corbett.

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Thursday, July 13 from 3 – 6 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Bill’s life will be held at the Durham Presbyterian Church on Friday at 11 a.m., with visitation prior to the service from 10 – 10:45 a.m. Interment at Durham Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Durham Presbyterian Church (general fund) would be appreciated by the family.
